Hello! My name is Ritika Garg, and I am a senior at Saratoga High School in Saratoga, California. I have a deep passion for medicine and neuroscience. Besides neuroscience, I am an avid musician: I play the piano and baritone. In my free time, I enjoy dancing, cooking, dabbling in photography, playing with my puppy, and spending time with my friends and family.
Why Did I Create Research Rationalized?
I created this blog to spread my passion for science and to inspire other high schoolers to cultivate their interests in this rich field as well. Through my own high school journey, I have learned that navigating the intricacies of high school and extracurriculars can be extremely difficult and confusing. Looking back, I would have loved to hear a fellow high schooler’s advice on what clubs to join, which volunteering opportunities to pursue, how to stand out as a leader, and how to get research lab opportunities. So, I created this blog to share my personal experiences as well as to impart my advice about high school to other high schoolers interested in pursuing science.
